Our vacuum hardened electroless nickel continues to replace thermally sprayed ceramics, hard chrome plating, hardcoat anodize and proprietary coatings. This Electroless Nickel is 68-71Rc, has low frictional properties and coats complex shaped parts uniformly. This coating can be applied to steel, copper and aluminum alloys.

Charlotte Plating, Inc. is implementing QS 9000 /ISO 9002. Our quality manual is completed and procedures and documentation are in place. This is the result of participating in an ISO 9002 /QS 9000 Technical Assistance program put-on by NC State University Industrial Extension. Our goal is to be QS 9000 registered by January 2002.

Recently, we became the recipient of the Exceptional Steward Recognition which is the 1998 Governor's Award for Excellence in Waste Reduction in the Small Business Category. This award is given annually by the Governor of North Carolina.

We are now Certified DAIMLERCHRYSLER, Tier II Supplier for Electroless Nickel and Hard Chrome.

We have recently installed and have available a computer-controlled vacuum oven for heat-treating Electroless Nickel deposits. This will provide hardnesses approaching those of hard chrome, without the tarnish and discoloration normally associated with heat-treating.

We now have X-Ray Fluorescence thickness testing on premises. This helps us provide you with accurate measurement of plating thickness as well as statistical analysis of the thicknesses of overall, within lots.
